Bob O'Dell joined RJR Executive Search (formerly Roth Young Houston) in 1997 after more than twenty years of senior level management positions in Retail Operations with Best Buy and also Gart Sports/The Sports Authority, Inc. Bob rapidly established an impressive track record in Retail search and recruiting excellence, and his stellar reputation for recruiting in the Distribution, Ecommerce and Supply Chain segments earned him Top Producer status, with a promotion to Vice President in 1998. Phil Soroko is a recent addition to RJR, coming on board in 2012. Phil brings with him over 25 years
experience as an executive and consultant in the supermarket and food industries focusing on total store
concept development and operations with a focus on culinary R&D, deli and bakery within conventional
and specialty hybrid concepts.
He has served in senior positions for notable retailers Giant Food, Bruno's Supermarkets, Randalls-Tom Thumb, The Markets LLC along with a variety of restaurants and specialty supermarket start-up ventures. His consulting positions have included partnering with a variety of companies that include Fortune 100 supermarket chains, specialty market start-ups, restaurant groups, equipment manufacturers and CPG companies.
Phil's current clients range from well-established supermarket chains, natural and organic retail start-ups and progressive CPG manufacturers to food research firms. He has successfully recruited for all layers of these organizations from executive management, supply chain, operations, category management, finance, marketing (traditional, digital, analytics), HR, R&D and manufacturing plant positions.
Phil resides in Bellingham, Washington with his wife Tamara.

Greg has been involved with many aspects of recruiting for over twenty years.
Earlier in his career, Greg was the Divisional HR and Recruiting Manager for H.E.B. Grocery Company,
the largest privately held grocery retailer in the United States. He was responsible for all recruitment
strategies for the company's rapid expansion into the Houston and East/Southeast Texas markets.
Greg later joined the Jack in the Box Corporation and oversaw an aggressive recruitment campaign to
enhance and expand markets into Houston, Southeast Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Greg has an M.B.A.
in Business Administration, and a B.S. in Education.
Greg's extensive knowledge in developing and implementing recruitment strategies is designed to source and hire positions in all areas such as Retail and Restaurant Management, Operations Management, Multi Unit Supervision, Warehouse and Distribution, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Purchasing, Marketing, and many other Technical and Senior Level position. Vince Lyden joined RJR Search in 2007, after more than 25 years of proven sales management experience in both Fortune 500 and IPO environments. With a Business Science degree in Business Administration he has been involved in Senior Management positions with Owens-Corning Fiberglas, DHL World Wide Express, Air Liquide America, and has had proven success in the areas of industrial sales, consumer products, international sales, and the service industry.
John is the most recent addition to RJR, joining the firm in 2015. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's in Education. He has had a highly successful 26-year career in elementary and secondary education as a classroom teacher and tutor, distinguished by his strong ethic of constant professional improvement and refinement.
John's academic and educational background has served him well as he has embarked upon his new career in recruiting. He started as a research assistant and has rapidly progressed to account management. Though he has not come to us through the food manufacturing or grocery industries, John is a fast learner and has acquired an impressive knowledge base in a very short time.
John lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his wife, Jackie, where he is learning about food production firsthand as he tends his garden and keeps a small flock of laying hens.
Carl James has recently joined the firm in 2017 and brings over 20 years of retail experience. He has a diverse retail background of which includes big box, general, specialty and convenience store retail. Carl has served in multiple Director roles including marketing, merchandising, business development, loss prevention and construction & maintenance. He has served as Division Manager leading field operation teams of 500 members throughout 100 stores. His success has been through recruiting and cultivating a culture of servant leadership.
Not only has he has worked for Fortune 500 and 200 companies but also served on the board of Directors for several organizations including the Boy Scouts of America and Habitat for Humanity.
In 1992, Carl received a BFA from East Carolina University, where he majored in Environmental Design. He also earned an MBA from Salem International University School of Business. He has demonstrated a passion for people and results that will drive the future success of our clients.
Matt Riggs has over 7 years of successful experience recruiting in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering fields. Matt has placed Directors of Construction, Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Architects, Structural Engineers, etc... Prior to recruiting, Matt had sales and management experience in the retail, advertising and industrial industries. Matt has always believed that "the best positions are NOT advertised", and believes in finding out the exact right fit for his candidates, rather than fitting them in a box for his client.
